A double Pelton wheel turbine drives, by a chain, an electric generator. The machinery is set partially underground, roofed over, in what is now the garden of Glenydd. Installed in about 1920, the turbine took its water supply from the adjacent Afon Ceulan, the generator originally supplying electricity to a number of houses in Talybont.
