Description
The original school at Llanystumdwy was built circa 1812 but was then converted into the masters house when the National School was built alongside it. Alterations were carried out by Kennedy in 1851. It appears on the OS 25" 1st edition map, CA XXXIII.16, dated 1888, and was listed for its association with David Lloyd George as it was the school he attended when he was a boy. Built at the west end of the village, the school has two classrooms with separate entrances for boys and girls, with the schoolmasters house attached at the east end.
