DescriptionFive pools were noted in this vicinity in 1912, about half a mile to the south-west of the church, 'in a dingle called Cwm Cerwyni'.They are said to correspond with the five saints, St Celynin, Ceitho, Gwyn, Gwyno and Gwynoro, to whom Llanpumsaint church (NPRN 309902) is dedicated. The pools were noted to have been formed by the Nant Cwm Cerwen running over rocks and forming small cateracts. Between 200-300 people reportedly gathered there on St Peter's Day, and people suffering from aches are said to have bathed in the pools during summer.
