Earthworks of a former walled garden at Gilfach-Glyd. The walled garden, with feature, is denoted on the 1st edtion Ordnance Survey County series mapping of 1876 (Glamorgan, sheet XIX 14), which shows the house and driveway with outbuildings, woodland and a walled garden with internal features to the south. By 1900 the features within the walled garden appear to have been cleared and two buildings are shown to the east of the walled garden. (now in ruins). The walled garden features and boundary still survive as denuded earthworks. On the 1919 mapping the walled garden has gone, although the buildings remain.
