Description
This shelter is one component of a group of structures which forms a deserted rural settlement on Llain Wen (NPRN 418534).
It is slightly oval enclosure measuring internally 4.7m (N-S) by 2.7m, cut into rising ground on the north to 0.6m deep. Here, and on the east and west sides it is partly revetted with small boulders 0.75m wide and 0.75m high. The entrance is at the south end. Immediately above the north end is a vaguely platformed area measuring 2m across. Flanking the west side of the enclosure is a line of boulders hinting at a small annexe, but it is unclear.
