The tinplate works is shown on the Ordnance Survey 25in mapping of 1876 and 1900 and annotated as 'Llantrisant Tin Plate Works'; on the third andd fourth editions of 1919 and 1941 it is annotated 'Ely Tin Plate Works'. The buildings have since been demolished and the site occupied by the Ely Valley Industrial Estate.
