The former school and school house was built in 1852-3 to the design of T.H. Wyatt, along with the church and vicarage. The former school is a single storey building with the two storey master's house built at right angles to it. Both are constructed of large blocks of grey stone with sandstone dressings under slate roofs and are of Gothic revival character.
