Description
The foundations of a substantially built rectangular building are located on a natural terrace of the south-east facing slopes of Pen Carreg Gopa.
The building measures overall 11.5m long (NNE-SSW) and 5m wide. The walls of small boulders are largely tumbled but were about 1m thick, overgrown with mosses and heather. The entrance gap lies mid-way along the west, uphill, side. The mossy and rush-grown interior is stony with a particular concentration of rubble at its south end. This may have been the location of a fireplace/chimney. There is no obvious evidence for a partition wall.
A possible ancillary structure lies some 70m to the south-west (NPRN 418790).
The building outline is shown on early and modern OS maps.
