1. Bryn Hyfryd Junior School is situated some 40m west of Siloh Chapel (NPRN 8990), which pupils visit as part of their curriculum at various times throughout the year. The building is comprised of classrooms situated around two main halls.

2. The original Bryn Hyfryd Schoolroom was built before 1875 and is now the site of Brynhyfryd Infants School. The extension to the Board School, built across the road, was opened in August 1875 and was to provide pupil space for girls and infants. Details of the building were noted in 'The Builder' 1875 and both schools are marked on the first edition Ordnance Survey 25" map, GL XXIV. 1, of 1879.
