Description
A stone setting, possibly the remnants of a cairn with an outer kerb, is located on a natural terrace on a south-east facing slope overlooking the upper Ystwyth valley.
The setting is in the form of an arc of five edge-set, earthfast slabs and blocks which, if once complete, would have formed a circle about 4m in diameter. The stones have a maximum height of about 0.4m above the turf. An additional block lies within the arc. The location is one of tussocky moss and molinia grassland and little cairn material is apparent but probing suggests a stony subsurface within the `ring?, and an additional stone suggesting an extension to the setting adjacent to it on the south. The stones may thus represent the visible remnants of a kerb-structured cairn.
