Description
The Bell House for the Laugharne Ferry where would-be passengers would summon the ferryman and await his arrival. It consists of a single room with its long axis aligned N-S. Originally had a pitched roof of which nothing now remains. There are windows on the N and S gable ends, tall and narrow, with wide-splayed internal embrasures. There is some evidence of internal plastering. There is a doorway at the centre of the W wall and a bell tower above the S gable. Overall the structure is 3.3m 3.7m and about 3m high (max). The building was surveyed by the National Trust in the 1990's. It is not in good condition, the foundations have sunk and the stonework is cracking, notably on the E side of the building.
