From War Memorials Online:
'Standing on the east side of the B5111 on the northern approach to the town. A granite block cenotaph, within a half-circle paved area, surrounded by metal posts connected by metal chain links. The front face of the memorial is surmounted by a stone wreath of laurels, below which are two polished granite panels commemorating, in Welsh, the names of 29 men who died the the Great War, 1914-1918. The names are listed in alphabetical order, extending to the second, lower panel (except for one name added later). The names include the place of residence and date of death. Below this, on a bottom panel of polished granite are listed the names of a further 13 who died in WW2, listed in no particular sequence, but once again including place of residence and date of death. (Note: James Williams (WW1) is also commemorated on a family gravestone in Llanfihangel churchyard; and William Lloyd Williams (WW1) is also commemorated on a family gravestone on Llandyfrydog churchyard)'
