Description
Village war memorial located in a paved, walled alcove set into St Giles churchyard at a road junction. The memorial is a granite pillar with moulded capping on a chamfered two-tier plinth, all in polished grey granite, mounted on a square concrete base. The north-west face of the pillar records the names of those who fell in the First World War, and on the north-east face those of the Second World War.
Set against the rear wall is a memorial slab to those from the parishes of Llanfair Nant-y-gof and Llanstinan who fell in the First World War. Now mounted on a two-step concrete base, this memorial was probably removed from a church.
The front of the memorial area is enclosed in a simple chain-link fence.
