Description
A memorial to the war dead of Croesgoch is located in the Baptist Cemetery in the hamlet of Square and Compass.
The monument, which lies close to the cemetery entrance, is a marble staue of Victory in mourning. It is mounted on pale grey ganite moulding above a slightly tapered, darker grey polished granite pedestal, on a three-tiered concrete base.
The west face of the pedestal is inscribed with a memorial to the fallen of the First World War (1914-19), their names on the south face, and on the east face is inscribed the name of one soldier who fell in the Second World War.
