Description
Village war memorial commemorating the fallen from the parish in the First World War. It is located in an enclosed area adjacent to the east side of St Mary's churchyard, a short distance to the north-west of the village.
The monument is a rusticated Celtic-type ring cross with a two-tier tapered shaft mounted on a tapered chamfered pedestal in two segments. It rests on a square stone base on a square concrete block, the whole in a paved area enclosed by a dwarf wall supporting iron railings, gated at the south-west corner. On the front (east) face of the pedestal is fixed a marble slab recording, in lead, the names of the fallen.
