St Andrew's church is located on the south side of Somerton Road. It was built in Lancet style in 1882, to designs of architect E.A.Lansdowne, as an inexpensive little cruciform church. Notable features include stained glass by Wippell & Co (c.1964) and Celtic Studios (1975). It recently re-opened (March 2014) having been closed for four years for repair work to be carried out.
