Description
There is uncertainty about the name of this well which is marked on OS 1st and 2nd edition mapping as a well and 3rd and 4th as a spring with trough. Some equate it with ffynnon Pant yr Arian, whither, in the 19th century, ricketty and other sick children were carried (Jones 1954, 180); Jones lists it as one of his Class A wells (wells bearing the names of saints.Trinity, God, Holy Innocents, Easter); but this is not necessarily valid as Baglan is the name of the parish as well as that of the local saint.
