Description
The church of St John the Baptist is located on the north side of the A4118, set back from the road in a small churchyard used as a cemetery. It was built in 1854-5 in Early English style to designs of R.K.Penson but incorprates old walling from its predecessor in the nave and south porch, the north chapel replacing a transeptal arrangement.
Traces of the medieval church, abandoned because of encroachment by sand, are located to the south-east (NPRN 305604)
