DescriptionSt Mary's church was set upon high ground on the north-west side of Ynysmeudwy Road (B4603). It was built in 1911-12 by architect J.Cook Rees of Neath who used Geometrical tracery patterns in his design. It was constructed of rock-faced coursed Pennant sandstone and Bath stone dressings under slate roofs. It consisted of nave with north aisle, lower chancel with bellcote over chancel arch, south-west porch and north-east vestry. Inside, piers were of octagonal section. Stained glass included work in a German late Gothic style.
The church is now disused and in 2014 an application was made for its change of use to a dwelling.
