Description
The fishpond, located on the south side of Treguff farmhouse, consists of a rectangular depression aligned east by west, and measures 61m long by 27m wide and 1.5m deep. The west side is formed by an earth dam 3.9m broad, having a mortared revetment wall 0.55m tick on the inner side. The pond was fed by a streamlet on the east. The fishpond at Treguff is mentioned by Rice Merrick in 1578.
