DescriptionSt John's church is situated on the west side of the A470 through the village, set back from the road in a small churchyard at the edge of a housing estate. The church was built in 1890-1 to designs of Kempson & Fowler. Constructed of coursed rock-faced stone with paler dressings under slate roofs, it comprises a small single chamber under the same steeply-pitched roof, a gabled porch on the south-west, and plate tracery windows, lancets at the east end.
