Late-19th century counter balance incline, partially destroyed through later untopping.

The incline operated between floors 9 and 7 and is orientated south-west to north-east. The drum house situated on floor 9 shows clear evidence of phasing, and its winding drum and brake mechanism survives. An intermediate landing platform was situated on floor 7?.
