There was a mission church in Bargoed on the south side of Margaret Street. It had a brief life for some period between 1878 and 1919, being absent from the first-edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map (1878), present on the second edition (1900) then gone by the third-edition of 1919 by which time the site had been redeveloped. Map depiction suggests it was a rectangular chamber aligned north by south with a porch on the north gable.
