Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance on 11th February 2016 identified the low earthworks of a curvilinear or D-shaped enclosure on the southern part of the small offshore island of Ynys Moelfre. The enclosure measures approximately 24m east-west by 22m north-south and appears to have two or three broad, low ridges within it. The enclosure may be a small field or settlement enclosure of any period from prehistoric to medieval times. There is the possibility that it represents an early medieval settlement.
