Description
Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance on 23rd June 2015 recorded a stone-built fish trap, or a small submerged harbour, on the northern tip of St Tudwal's Island East. The trap springs from a shingle bar which juts out from the island's cliffs, and the arm of the trap then runs east as a wall of stone or shingle for some 50m. A cleared area approx. 23m north-south between the arm of the trap and the northern cliffs of the island forms the body of the trap, or a sheltered lagoon. Recorded on frames AP_2015_2154-2165
