Road direction sign, set on the B4574 road to the southwest of a junction with a minor road near Pont Nant Crafanglach. The sign pointing straight ahead to the minor road indicated that it leads to the 'B4574 DEVIL'S BRIDGE', in effect a shortcut back to the B4574. The right-pointing sign indicates the 'B4574 CWMYSTWYTH' and that the road also leads to 'RHAYADER (MOUNTAIN ROAD). (See also nprns 421712 and 421714). The sign is pre-Worboys Committee (review of signage on British roads) and dates from between 1930 and 1965; it is cast in aluminium and probably produced by the Royal Label Factory.
