Description
Llandovery No.1 Signal Box, on the London and North Western Railway's Central Wales Extension line, later Central Wales Line (nprn 291119), stood at the northern end of Llandovery station (nprn 302783), north of the level crossing with the A40 road. It was downgraded to ground frame status in 1966, known as 'Llandovery North Ground Frame' and eventually closed in 1986. The signal box was subsequently used in the construction of the station building at Bronwyd Arms (nprn 305104) on the preserved Gwili Railway.
