Description
The laboratories for this site were commissed by Parke-Davis, a U.S. pharmaceutical company, in 1969. The site was developed in 1971, the complex having been planned and designed by the Percy Thomas Partnership, who also took responsibility for the supervision of construction. The construction costs were £2.5 million, and the complex subsequently won the 1973 RIBA Architecture Award for Wales, the National Eisteddfod Gold medal and a Civic Trust award.

The complex consists of areas designataion for manufacturing, warehousing and despatch with laboratories, offices, kitchen and canteen facilities. Of equal importnce is the carefully designed landscape in which the complex sits.

Parke-Davis vacted the buildings in the early 1990's and they currenty stand empty.
