Description
Connah's Quay & Shotton Railway Station was opened in 1891 on the former Wrexham, Mold & Connah's Quay Railway line between Buckley Junction and Shotton. It was renamed Shotton, and then Shotton High Level, in 1953. ('High Level' was added to draw a distinction with the Shotton Station (or Shotton Low Level, nprn 34916) nearby on the Chester and Holyhead line). It is still open.
