Llithfaen is a small village on the Llyn Peninsula, located about 4 miles north-east of Nefyn and lies just south-west of Yr Eifl mountains. The village was little more than a hamlet in the early nineteenth century but developed following the opening of local, in particular the granite quarries at Nant Gwrtheyrn.
The village was photographed during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance in June 2014.
