Ffos Las solar farm is built adjacent to Ffos Las Racecourse in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The solar farm in now fully operational and generates enough green electricity to power over 1650 households.

The site is located on the former Ffos Las opencast site and on the southern side of the recently developed Ffos Las Racetrack. The 2010 surveys identified that the area contained primarily open habitats dominated by semi-improved neutral grassland which is sparse in nature and forms a mosaic with patches of bare ground. Occasional ruderal and ephemeral species are also present. The habitats surrounding the site are similar with neutral grassland housing little to no wildlife. This land type is ideal for a solar farm as it previously held little purpose.
