Description
1. The earthwork remains of a possible Medieval or Post-Medieval platform feature is visible on 0.25m lidar at Parc y Capel. It measures approximately 25m x 15m and comprises two parts defined by a change in height. The higher first part to the west is sub-rectangular in shape and likely has a direct relationship with the NE/SW aligned earthwork bank which appears to project northwards from the platform. Skirting the east and part of the northern sides at a lower level is the second part which is L-shaped. The feature as a whole has been cut into an east-facing natural slope leading down to the eastern cliff edge. It is possible that this platform is related to enclosure NPRN: 422312 to the west, however, the NE/SW aligned modern field boundary passes between the two monuments and likely obscures any relationship that may have existed.

The platform has been digitally mapped and updated as part of the CHERISH Project.
