Site Record

The 1st and 2nd edition historic 25-inch scale O.S. maps, dated 1889 and 1900 respectively, depict a woollen factory at this site. Water power was channelled from the Afon Wygyr via a mill race 180 metres long, and the maps suggest that the water passed under the building, driving an internal wheel. Modern aerial photography shows that the building has disappeared.
