The 1st edition of the historic 25-inch O. S. map, dated 1889, depicts Cefn coch Mill (Woollen) at this location, but the 2nd edition map names the building as Felin Cefn-coch, with no reference to its use. To the south of the building was a large mill pond, supplying water to a shirt leat which ran past the west gable of the building. The pond has disappeared, but the building remains, converted to a dwelling.
