The 1st edition of the historic 25-inch O. S. maps, published in 1889, depicts Crickadarn mill as a working corn mill. It wass located on the south-west bank of the Clettwr Brook, and water was diverted to it by a weir some 50 metres upstream. The 2nd edition map (1904) shows the mill as disused. Only a small part of the building appears to have survived.
