The village of Llanerchymedd is situated five miles south of Amlwch and 10 miles east of Holyhead, in the middle of the Isle of Anglesey. It is also two miles south east of the Llyn Alaw reservoir. Llanerchymedd has a primary school, two public houses (The Twrcyheulun Arms and The Bull Inn) and a Post Office/Corner Shop. Capel Ifan on Bridge Street (NPRN 11845) and St. Mary's Church nearby (NPRN 43617) are still serving the community's religious needs.
