A cast-iron road direction sign, or 'fingerpost', stands in the centre of Oakford or Derwen Gam village at a junction of four minor roads. The four arms are double-sided and bear the names (from the top downwards): "LLANARTH 2", "CWM-MAWR 1", "LLWYNCELYN 1?" and "NEUADDLWYD 2". The annuleted tubular post is surmounted by a cast iron ball finial. The sign probably dates from the early twentieth century.
