The scrap processing facility is situated near the seaside district of Llanelli, about a mile south of the town centre. In September 1980 the site was owned by Moonriver Ltd., before being taken over by Vulcan Materials company in December 1980, and later AMG Resources Ltd, on 6th April 1988. The company specialises in processing and marketing 'ferrous & non-ferrous scrap metal' and is 'a leading supplier of prime and secondary steel products.'
