The 2017 edition of the OS map records this beach as a disused rifle range. According to the Gwynedd Archaeological Trust, there is a target position there. They describe it as 'Two 2.5m high sandy banks parallel to each other. Until 2000 contained remains of mechanism for raising and lowering targets, probably removed for health & safety reasons. Area is littered with .303 bullets.'
