DescriptionErwood lies on the northern edge of Breckonshire, separated from the Radnorshire border only by the river Wye. It is approximately six miles south east of Builth Wells. The village still has a village hall; a pub called the Wheelwright Arms and an English Baptist Chapel (Hephzibah, NPRN 6033). At one stage there was also a shop at Erwood. There was also a railway station for Erwood, located over the river (NPRN 306717). Although the railway and station closed in 1964 and in 1984 the derelict site was converted into a craft centre. It is now an art gallery.
