Description
Nantyffyllon is a village situated in the narrow LLyfni valley, between Maesteg to the south and Dyffryn to the north. The village has several amenities such as a primary school; a rugby football club; The Masons Arms; the Elderbush Inn; a post office and two corner shops. There are several large chapels still standing in Nantyffyllon, which are impressive features of the townscape. These chapels include Saron Welsh Independent Chapel (NPRN 9821) which is still open; Siloh Independent chapel (NPRN 9823) which is Grade II listed; Jerusalem Calvinistic Methodist chapel (NPRN 13768) which is now a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and Salem Chapel (NPRN 9830) which is also Grade II listed.
