Cardiff International Arena was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1993, and Shirley Bassey performed the opening concert on 10th September that year. The venue has a 7,500 capacity arena as well as several restaurants and bars. The Arena is currently known as 'Motorpoint Arena Cardiff' under a naming rights agreement with 'the car supermarket' Motorpoint which lasts until 2021.
