Description
Penrhos is situated on the north-eastern edge of Ystradgynlais, about thirteen miles north east of Swansea. The village had a local primary school until it closed in 2010 as part of a major restructuring of the education system in the Ystradgynlais area. Penrhos also has a fish and chip shop and a social club. At one time the village had two chapels - Peniel Welsh Independents (NPRN 12283) and Moriah Calvinistic Methodists (NPRN 12284).
