Description
Llangian is a small village located a mile north west of Abersoch, on the southern side of the Lleyn Peninsula. According to the first, second and third editions of the 25inch OS maps (published in 1889, 1900 and 1918), there was a smithy and a public house called 'New Inn' at Llangian, although both have now gone. The village does still have a church dedicated to St. Cian (NPRN 301084), and a church hall. Although one chapel - Talygraig Welsh Baptist chapel (NPRN 6976) has been converted into a dwelling, the other - Smyrna Welsh Calvinistic Methodist chapel (NPRN 6977) still seems to be open.
