Pencaenewydd is a hamlet situated six miles north west of Criccieth. It is a long and narrow settlement, with most of the houses built within about 500 metres of each other along the small road running through the hamlet. Pencaenewydd did have a Welsh Calvinistic Methodist chapel (NPRN 6987), which was for sale in October 2018.
