Description
Probable medieval longhouse measuring 15 metres by 6 metres, aligned north-south. There is also a possibility that it is a pillow mound (rabbit warren) as the moorland setting looks a little unlikely for a house. The longhouse (or pillow mound) is situated about 300 metres south west of Bryn-y-gath farm, which is about four and a half miles south east of Trawsfynydd, on the eastern side of Coed y Brenin woods. Discovered during the Royal Commission's programme of archaeological aerial reconnaissance by Toby Driver on 2nd October 2015.
RCAHMW 11th October 2018.
