Comins Coch is located just off the A487, approximately two miles east of Aberystwyth town centre. The village expanded considerably in the later half of the twentieth century, as the 4th edition of the 6inch OS maps, published between 1938 and 1953, shows that there were considerably fewer houses in the village at that time, and the houses that had been built were centred around Ebenezer Welsh Independent chapel (NPRN 7231), which has since been converted into a dwelling. Comins Coch primary school was built in the 1960s (NPRN 416964). Today it educated approximately 180 pupils aged three to eleven.
