Description
Glynarthen is a small village situated approximately eight miles north east of Cardigan. On the first edition of the 25inch OS maps, published in 1889 there is a post office and a school in Glynarthen. Although there is no sign of the post office any longer, the school remained open until Ysgol T. Llew Jones opened in September 2012 - this new build school in Brynhoffnant replaced Glynarthen school as well as three other small village schools: Blaenporth, Rhydlewis and Pontgarreg. Glynarthen Welsh Independent chapel (NPRN 7395) is still open.
