Description
Pet Funeral Services Ltd are based at their cemetery about a quarter of a mile north east of Brynford and half a mile south west of Holywell. Since it was established in 1990, the company have buried more than 575 pets, cremated more than 200 pets and 'even scattered the ashes of 30 people.' In 2015 a thirteen year old golden retriever named David Kao was flown in from Hong Kong to be buried at the cemetery.
In 2017, the owners of the cemetery launched a charity - 'National Military Working Dogs Memorial' with the aim of raising £150,000 to 'establish a memorial to commemorate the Military Working Dogs who bravely served their country in both World Wars and subsequent conflicts such as in Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq.'
