Description
The 1st and 2nd editions of the historic 25-inch O. S. maps, published in 1877 and 1899 respectively, both depict Llanblethian Mill as a working corn mill. They suggest that during its working life, the mill straddled the Afon Ddawen, with an internal water wheel. In more recent times the stream has been diverted round the south-west end of the mill, and a further extension at this end of the building appears to have been demolished. The mill, built of uncoursed rubblestone with a pitched slate roof, has two-storeys and an attic, and has been nconverted as an extension of the contiguous mill house to the north-east.
